# Rocko DeFi

> Rocko is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform that simplifies onchain borrowing from protocols like Aave, Compound, and Morpho, using crypto assets (ETH, BTC/cbBTC/WBTC/tBTC) as collateral. Rocko offers competitive interest rates (through partner protocols), no credit checks, flexible loan terms, and features like refinancing (Rocko ReFi) and loan management tools.

## Overview
Rocko enables users to borrow USDC or cash, using crypto assets as collateral, supporting non-custodial smart wallets and Coinbase integration. Loans are transparent (onchain auditable) and can be used for real estate, debt payoff, buying crypto and more.

## Collateral Types
Rocko supports ETH and Bitcoin via wrapped tokens:
- cbBTC: For Coinbase users, auto-converted, details at /learn/how-to-use-bitcoin-as-collateral/
- WBTC and tBTC: Buy on exchanges, mint and deposit, see /learn/how-to-use-bitcoin-as-collateral/

Rocko also supports various other tokens as collateral including LINK, UNI, and COMP

## Rates and Terms
Our partner protocols offer variable borrowing rates:
- Compound (Ethereum): 5.13% (rate as of 4/1/2025)
- Morpho (Base): 5.33% (rate as of 4/1/2025)
- Aave (Ethereum): 5.25% (rate as of 4/1/2025)
- Compared to CeFi lenders: 12.7% (30-day average as of 10/23/2024, excludes fees).
